Decided to take a trip up north to attend Yuxiong's wedding dinner on 7 Feb 2010 in Kampar, Ipoh. For the guys in the class, I have met up with all except Muralee. It has been 17 years since we last saw each other, and I suppose this explains why the seven hours coach ride was worth it.
With Yuxiong at the bride's family home in Ipoh. Th grounds are huge, a good half football field size.

AJC 25th Anniversary Dinner
The venue was the AJ Square, which I think used to be where the basketball courts were located. There were some 80 tables and we were seated at Table 78. I do not think there were many from our year, many about 4-5 tables at most. The program started with the usual speeches and the rather boisterous atmosphere attested to the fact that many, like our table, were busy interacting and catching up rather than paying attention to the speeches. The dinner itself was satisfactory, but we were not there for the dinner per se anyway, with some of the ticket proceeds going to the school. It was mostly a night for photo taking opportunities with former classmates and teachers.

Meeting Miss Ho after 16 years
I met Jianhui first actually at the conference and he told me over lunch today that Miss Ho was also at the conference. So I hunted around the lunch tables and recognised her...looked quite the same.
I am not so sure she recognised me as from 19/92 though she did correctly point out that I was thinner and darker in the past.
Both Jianhui and my camera phones were not working so we got Jianhui's colleague to take a photo.
Btw, Miss Ho mentioned that this August, AJC will be celebrating its 25th birthday and everyone is invited back for the celebration dinner. Per head is $50! You didn't think it would be free did you? What else is alumni good for anyway? hehe
